Vibrant Settle are co-ordinating an initiative to
decorate the town with Flowerpot People and Flowerpot displays
during the Summer of 2014.

The Festival will run from the weekend preceding the Grand Départ of the Tour de France
to the week after the Summer Bank Holiday weekend i.e. 28th June to 31st August.

Everyone can get involved - schools, businesses, individuals, families, local clubs, societies and organisations .....

As well as building and displaying Flowerpot People we would like to encourage people
to organise Flowerpot themed events, competitions, trails, menus, walks, concerts, talks, fairs, markets ......
Let us know what your ideas are and we will incorporate them into a programme that can be promoted and publicised.

1st February 2014

Vibrant Settle are co-ordinating an initiative to decorate the town with Flowerpot People and Flowerpot displays during the summer of 2014.

Provisionally we are thinking of running the Festival from the weekend preceding the Grand Départ of the Tour de France to the week after the Summer Bank Holiday weekend i.e. 28th June to 31st August.

Everyone can get involved - schools, businesses, individuals, families, local clubs, societies and organisations .....

As well as building and displaying Flowerpot People we would like to encourage people to organise Flowerpot themed events, competitions, trails, menus, walks, concerts, talks, fairs, markets ...... Let us know what your ideas are and we will incorporate them into a programme that can be promoted and publicised.

Our thoughts are still at a very early stage and so if you have any suggestions or ideas or would like to get involved with the Co-ordinating Team then please contact any of the team members below.

We are planning to organise an open day / workshop in a few weeks time at which we will be able to talk about how the Festival is taking shape and you will be able to see how easy it is to make a Flowerpot Person!

In the meantime, click on the images in the left hand column for some ideas of the wide variety of 'people' that can be created from a few flowerpots and instructions on how to make a flowerpot person.

We hope you will get involved and support the Flowerpot Festival - it promises to be a great community event that will demonstrate to our visitors what a dynamic, vibrant and fun town we have the privilege of living in.

Best wishes
