The idyllic location of The Lion at Settle in the heart of the local community ensures you’re perfectly positioned to go off and explore the dramatic Yorkshire Dales countryside, local walking routes and all the little shops in the town itself.
And, when you’ve explored to your heart’s content, you can flop on to the comfiest of beds in one of 14 rooms. The wonderful rustic furniture which adorns each of the rooms and has been part of the Inn for as long as we can remember – of course, we’ve lovingly restored each piece and given it a bit of TLC.
As you’d expect of a building that has been welcoming travellers since 1640, the corridors hold lots of secrets and still bear the nooks and crevices from centuries ago. We’re sorry but we have no rooms on the ground floor and access to all rooms is via our very impressive staircase – lifts just hadn’t been invented when that was built!
We do have some dog-friendly rooms, please let us know if you are travelling with your four-legged friend and we’ll allocate you one of our dedicated pooch friendly guest rooms.
Each room has individual features and character, but we do have a couple of larger rooms which are perfect for longer stays or when you need some extra space. Please ask for more information when you make your reservation.
